This hybrid program emphasizes on the mastery and refinement of barbering techniques, including shear cuts, clipper cuts, advanced fades, beard design, hot shaves, and other essential skills required to attain professional certification as an Alberta Certified Journeymen Barber. The online coursework provides instruction on barbering fundamentals and theoretical principles, while the Barber Practicum and hands-on training component is conducted in a campus-based setting. The Masters In Barbering program is tailored to cater to students with little or no prior experience in this field.

Barber Bootcamp

The Barber Bootcamp is our most intensive and accelerated program – a powerful 6-week journey designed to help you rapidly gain and strengthen essential skills in a real barbershop setting. Gain hands-on experience with professional tools while mastering techniques like fades, tapers, shaving, and beard design.

STRAIGHT RAZOR SHAVE WORKSHOP

The one day workshop will cover the classic 14 specific stroke facial areas being shaved. The difference in razor positions and stroke, infection control and safe shave practice. This workshop is designed for barbers or hairstylist with little or no experience in straight razor shaves. Students must be a registered apprentice or a Journeyman Hairstylist. A shaving kit is included.

FADE FUNDAMENTALS WORKSHOP

This one day workshop focuses on the art of fading and tapers. Techniques using the clipper and detail trimmers creating low, medium and High bald fades. This workshop is designed for barbers or hairstylists who like to hone their clipper skills. Your own tools are required for this class, Canada School of Barbering offers Barber tool bags which include high quality clippers and trimmers for purchase. Students must be a registered apprentice or a Journeyman Hairstylist.

SHAVES & FADES WORKSHOP

This is a two day workshop combining the straight razor shave and Fade Fundamentals workshops for a better valued price. Shaving kit is included. Students must be a registered apprentice or a Journeyman Hairstylist.

BARBER TRADE PREP COURSE

We can help you prepare using the Pivot Point LAB online classroom and resources from Canada School of Barbering. Giving you access for 6 months provides learning flexibility for those who are working full time. Canada School of Barbering online platforms, demo videos, online practice theory tests and 24 hour access to Pivot Point Barber Fundamentals digital textbook to ensure your success on your barber certification.
